Style and sophistication Made in Italy
Artisanal wisdom mixed with modern industrial processes for footwear that will leave its mark.

WHO WE ARE
It all started in 1950
At the age of 6, Umberto Pezzella was already working as a small assistant in a shoe factory, and then, as a teenager, he began the profession of “sole miller”.
Purchasing some machines on installments, in 1974 he founded a small laboratory together with his wife. Like Umberto, Raffaela also worked 16 hours a day, and in a short time from the hard work a small production of high quality women's shoes was born.
In the 80s, Pezzella experienced significant development until it became a small workshop equipped with a conveyor belt where the various workers were organized.
In 1998, after more than twenty years of history, that small laboratory became a company reality, with Umberto's sons taking over the reins: Tamino and Modestino, under the guidance of Raffaela.
Keeping up with the times but always maintaining its artisanal tradition, today the Fratelli Pezzella shoe factory produces shoes with the highest quality standards, respecting all the rigorous criteria of 100% Made in Italy and exporting its creations to almost all of the world.
Between personalized studs, exclusive accessories and ultra-refined workmanship, Metisse shoes give shape to their strong personality by combining bold and incisive design, fine materials such as Italian cowhide with natural finishes and traditional craftsmanship made in Italy. There is no shortage of embroidery, laser engraving, stones, pearls and abrasions to complete a new taste that seems to be the natural response to a market demand that has so far gone unheard.
